a walk in the park on a blue-skied day. seeing white roses and dog roses. eating with my grandma. walking past people tending to vibrant plants and flowers at the allotments in the quiet of the mornings. drying my hands and seeing a little girl struggle to reach the tap so pushing it down for her and her saying thank you and smiling so cutely. making bread with fresh rosemary and cherry tomatoes. the super blue moon. spending time with people who make me feel like a child again.
a sunny day by the boats. meeting a friend for the first time. yellow canal boats surrounded by algae. good conversation. helping out at a local river art market and talking to the artists. a trip to a new bakery. the counters filled with croissants, danishes, cookies, cakes, pain au chocolates and pain suisse. busy streets with people seated outside cafes laughing in the sun. seeing the herds of sheep and cows from the train.
walking through narrow streets lined with little vintage lamps. colourful flower bouquets at the market. people dancing in the street. eating an almond and chocolate croissant by the water and watching the geese. a wonderful street musician playing nearby. a butterfly flying in front of me and the fluttery way in which they fly. brunch with a friend under little lights on a wooden deck. browsing a bookboat. complimenting the barista on her piercing and her jotting down where she got it and telling me all about the place and its jewelry even though i was holding up the line. sweet photo booth pictures.
the warmth and brightness of the sun when you’re half asleep in the morning. getting the tram to a pottery place on my friend’s birthday. cute polaroids. a little waterway with boats lined up on the side. a cosy food court with a garden, vintage lamps, framed art, disco balls, plants and a live DJ. running to the train station in the rain with friends. seeing the warm light from houses at blue hour. people remembering a little details about me.
gorgeous morning train journeys. landscapes of green grass, wildflowers, and fields under blue skies. getting into routines. pale bellflowers by the church. a new town to explore with an abundance of independent cafes and bakeries. meeting the loveliest people. the warm-hued sky after a storm. basil pesto and sundried tomato pasta. the cats curled up and sleeping soundly on sunny ledges, basking in the warmth of the evening sun. my friends messaging me to ask how i am doing and making sure i get home safe. faint orange and pink sunsets.
my cousin’s wedding week. the most beautiful, big rainbow. decorating the house and putting mendhi on. eating delicious food and desserts. sitting in the tent talking in the evening while it rains. trying to find the bride’s husband’s name in her mendhi. the sun shining as she has her wedding entrance, wearing the most beautiful gown. good karak tea and wedding cake. staying up until late to debrief.

THE COZIEST VIBESSSSSS
I love receiving these in my inbox, thank you 💞 I'd love to know (idk if you've ever taked about it) what inspired you to start writing this 'beautiful moments' series! I'm thinking of doing this in my journal as I'm having so much trouble remembering nice moments from each month (adhd sucks) and yours brings me so much joy! do you have any reflections on this practice after doing it consistently for so long?
